School of Seven Bells

Led since 2007 by guitarist Benjamin Curtis, an escapee from Secret Machines, and twin sisters Alley and Claudia Deheza (ex-On!Air!Library!), the School of Seven Bells trio distills a playful, atmospheric pop on their debut album Alpinisms (2008), from which the tracks "My Cabal " and "Face to Face on High Places" are taken. Three months after the release of the following album Disconnect from Desire (2010), Claudia Deheza broke away from SVIIB and let her two companions record Ghostory (2011) as a duo. Things get even more complicated when Benjamin Curtis is diagnosed with lymphoma. The guitarist and singer died on December 29, 2013. The fourth SVIIB album, completed by Alejandra Deheza, was released in early 2016.
