Sefo is a Turkish rapper and pop artist, best known for the chart-topping singles "Bilmem mi?" and "Tutsak." He was born as "Seyfullah Sağır" on March 16, 1998, in Samsun, Turkey. He later became one of the most celebrated Turkish artists of the early 2020s, thanks to a marketable mix of reggaeton, pop, trap, rap, and alternative hip-hop. "Yalan," his debut single, was released in 2018, when Sefo was just 20 years old. The success of his follow-up hit, 2019's "Poz," convinced Sefo to pursue music on a full-time basis, and he released three additional songs — "Up Down," "362," and "Derdi Ne?" — before the year came to a close. Five additional singles followed in 2020, including the collaborative song "Başa Sar," which featured contributions from Aerro and Yase. His commercial breakthrough arrived in 2021, when "Bilmem Mi?" topped the Turkish charts and earned a diamond certification. The success spilled into 2022 with the collaborative single "Isabelle," which featured the German rapper Capo and went to Number 2 on Turkey's Top 25 Singles chart. That same year, the solo release "Tutsak" became Sefo's second chart-topping song on Turkey's singles chart, with "Affettim" reaching Number 1 on the country's Top 50 Spotify chart. Sefo returned to Number 1 in 2023 with "Kapalı Kapılar," which reached the top of Turkey's Top 100 Apple Music chart while also hitting number 3 on the Top 25 Singles Billboard chart.
