Semicenk

Cenk Baş, also known as Semicenk, is a Turkish musician and lyricist born on October 7, 1998, in Boyabat, Sinop. His mother is from Adana, and his father is originally from Ordulu. In 2019, Semicenk participated in the show O Ses Türkiye (The Voice Turkey) and joined Hadise's team. Semicenk gained recognition with his early releases like 'Kalbim Usandı' (2018) and 'Yüzü Tanıdık Değil' (2021). His breakthrough came in December 2021 when he released the single 'Düşer Aklıma,' which garnered more than 100 million streams within two years. He then collaborated with Funda Arar on the duet 'Al Sevgilim' in 2022. Throughout his career, Semicenk has worked with various artists, including Funda Arar, Mustafa Ceceli, Reynmen, and Ziynet Sali. In 2022, he released the EP Aşırı Do (Overdose). In 2023, Semicenk won the Best New Artist award at the 49th Golden Butterfly Awards. He also received the Song of the Year award with Doğu Swag for their collaboration on the song 'Pişman Değilim (I'm Not Sorry)' during the same ceremony. In 2023, Semicenk released a new album titled Karışık Kaset (Mixed Cassette), which features a duet with Müslüm Gürses on the song 'Biz Babadan Böyle Gördük (We Saw It Like This From Our Father)'. Semicenk dropped another EP titled Geçiyor Zaman in 2024 that features tracks like 'Onlar Anlamaz Halden' and 'Kader Sağ Olsun'.
