Sergio George

Sergio George, born May 23, 1961, in New York City to Puerto Rican parents, is a renowned pianist, arranger, and record producer who revolutionized salsa music while also excelling in other genres. Starting his career in the late 1970s with Conjunto Caché and Conjunto Clásico, he quickly became a sought-after figure in the Latin music industry, producing Tito Nieves’s debut album The Classic (1988) and arranging hits like "Solo" for Luis Enrique. Sergio George served as the creative force behind RMM Records from 1988 to 1995, collaborating with legends such as Celia Cruz, Marc Anthony, and La India, producing iconic albums like Marc Anthony's Otra Nota and the platinum-selling Combinación Perfecta. He founded Sir George Entertainment and DLG in the mid-1990s, further cementing his influence in salsa and urban music. With his label Top Stop Music, launched in 2009, Sergio George introduced Prince Royce to global acclaim with hits like "Stand By Me" and Corazón Sin Cara. His Grammy-winning project Sergio George Presents Salsa Giants (2013) celebrated his impact on the genre. In 2023, George released ¡ATACA SERGIO! INQUEBRANTABLE, a retrospective on his remarkable 43-year career, solidifying his legacy as a transformative figure in Latin music.
