Kang Seul-gi (February 10, 1994), better known by her stage name Seulgi, is a South Korean singer and dancer who rose to fame as a member of the girl group Red Velvet. Born in the city of Ansan, Gyeonggi-do, she became a trainee at SM Entertainment in 2007 and made her official debut with Red Velvet in 2014. The group rapidly turned into one of the most popular female K-pop acts in the world, hitting the top of the Korean charts multiple times and racking up several awards along the way. She is also a member of the Red Velvet sub-unit, Red Velvet – Irene & Seulgi, whose debut EP Monster peaked at Number 2 on the Circle Chart, and is a part of the K-pop supergroup, Got the Beat. After featuring on BamBam's Top 10 hit "Who Are You" (2021) and bandmate Wendy's Like Water (2021) EP, Seulgi made her solo debut in 2022 with the single "28 Reasons," included in the EP of the same name.
