K-poppers Sevenus formed in 2016 under JJ Holic Media initially as a quartet comprising Heejae, Woosoo, 26, and ACE. They launched their career that same year with the mini-album Strange, following it up in 2017 with the "Tina" single. The group expanded to include new members Ireah, Moonbong, Doeun, and Chibin, however, controversy over an alleged assault led to the departure of Chibin and ACE in 2018, and the group became four again. The "Maschera" single emerged in 2019 but Sevenus announced their split the following year. However, they made a comeback in 2023, signing with PCS Entertainment and releasing their debut single album Summús that July, propelled by the lead single "Wonder Land."
