Shallow Side is an American hard rock/post-grunge group formed in Cullman, Alabama, in 2010. The band consists of lead vocalist Eric Boatright, lead guitarist Seth Trimble, bassist Sam Bower, and drummer Heath Fields. After years of relentless touring, Shallow Side released their debut EP Home Today in 2012, followed by a second extended play titled Stand Up in 2014. It was followed by the Top 40 single "Rebel," the lead single from their 2016 third EP, One. In 2018, Shallow Side released its first full-length Origins, whose lead single "Can You Hear Me" climbed to Number 34 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock chart. The album was promoted through an extensive tour across the US in which they shared the stage with Puddle of Mudd, Saliva, Tantric, and The Veer Union. Preceded by the single "Sound the Alarm," Shallow Side's sophomore effort Saints & Sinners was released in 2019 and featured production by Michael "Elvis" Baskette, a veteran of the alternative rock scene whose credentials include working with Sevendust, Alter Bridge, and Clint Lowery. Following the release of the single "Revival" in 2020, Shallow Side took some time off from their busy schedule but finally returned in 2022 with the single "The Worst Kind," which cracked the Top 40 of the Mainstream Rock Songs chart.
