Sharissa Dawes, who goes by just her first name, is an American R&B singer from New York City who had stints with the all-female groups Triple Dose and 4Kast before she branched out on her own. Her 2002 debut release, 'No Half Steppin'', went to number seven on Billboard's Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Chart and number 44 on the Billboard 200 and the title track peaked at number seven on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs Chart. The track 'Any Other Night' went to number 23. Her 2005 album 'Every Beat of My Heart' was released only in Japan. She collaborated on recordings with acts such as The Notorious B.I.G., R Kelly and Wyclef Jean.
