Shawn Hook is a Canadian singer-songwriter, guitarist and piano player. He was born as Shawn Hlookoff in British Columbia in 1984. After a spell at university, he released the album 'Both Sides' in 2006, a guitar-based work on which he was billed as Shawn Hlookoff. He also worked on several TV soundtracks. His song 'Soldier' was a minor hit and became popular on Canadian Remembrance Day. His first release as Shawn Hook was the 2012 album 'Cosmonaut & the Girl', which had more of pop feel and showcased his falsetto vocals. After some success in the American market he released his second album 'Analog Love' in 2015, with an EP version of the album also released in the States. In 2017 he collaborated with Vanessa Hudgens on the poignant single 'Reminding Me'. In 2020 he released the single 'I Don't Wanna Dance'.
