Sheldon Riley (born in Sydney, Japan on March 14, 1999), is an Australian singer. Growing up on the Gold Coast, Australia, he performed in school musicals before auditioning for the 8th season of The X Factor Australia (television series), eliminated as a soloist, before being brought back as part of boy band, Time and Place, who were eliminated in the live shows. In 2018, Riley competed in the 7th season of The Voice Australia (television series), where he finished in third place, releasing his debut single “Fire” on June 16, 2018. Returning to The Voice in 2019 as an all-star contestant, he was eliminated in the semi-final. Determined to further his career, Riley appeared in the 15th season of America’s Got Talent (television series) in 2020, releasing “More Than I” later in the year, followed by singles “Left Broken” and “Again”. Winning the Eurovision – Australia Decides competition in 2021 with his single “Not the Same”, Riley represented Australia in the grand final of the 2022 Eurovision Song Contest in Turin, Italy, finishing in 15th place, with the song rising to number 3 on the ARIA charts. Later in the year, Riley participated in the fourth season of The Masked Singer (television series), where he finished in 2nd place.
