SHU-I, also known as Super Tribe, was a South Korean boy band made up of members Hwang Inseok, Jun Changhyun, Park Hyungjun, Park Minho, and Park Jinseok. The group debuted in 2009 with the release of the digital single "Bomb Bomb Bomb." Prior to their official debut, the members had appeared on various Korean television shows, building a fanbase. Their initial success in South Korea led to their debut in Japan with the mini-album Star Light in 2011. This release set the stage for their major debut in Japan later that May. In 2013, SHU-I returned to the Korean market with the release of their first Korean mini-album Mini Album Vol.1. Over the following years, SHU-I expanded their discography with releases in both Japan and South Korea. In Japan, they had success with singles such as "Summer Sweet / Kizuna" and albums including Nextage (2012) and I-Dream (2015). However, the group disbanded on August 16, 2015, with an announcement on their official homepage. Inseok, Changhyun, and Minho were slated to begin their mandatory military service, with hopes of returning to the music scene in Japan thereafter. Meanwhile, Hyungjun and Jinseok decided to pursue different paths, marking the end of SHU-I's journey.
