True to their style and their audience, Sick of It All still hold high the banner of devastatingly energetic hardcore punk. Formed in 1986, the New York-based combo first found its way to alternative music. The albums Blood, Sweat and No Tears (1988) and Just Look Around (1992) bear witness to these beginnings. Sick of It All then succumbed to the siren calls of the majors, releasing Scratch the Surface (1994) and Built to Last (1997), two of their major successes. Back in the independent sphere, Sick of It All pursued a fairly straightforward career with, among others, Call to Arms (1999) and Death to Tyrants (2006). After a four-year absence, the band returns in 2010 with Based on a True Story. Sick of It All released Last Act of Defiance in 2014.
