Simon Posford is an ambient music producer born in Chobham, Surrey, on October 28, 1971. Better known by his stage name Hallucinogen, the musician is the grandson of George Posford, a composer and producer in the 1930s. Specializing in psychedelic trance music, he has released several albums under the Hallucinogen name and taken part in a wide range of projects, including Sphongle, Infernal Machine, Younger Brother, Dub Trees, Celtic Cross, Industrial Suicide Tribe, Nomads of Dub and Subkha. He is also the founder of the Twisted Records label and under his own name produced the album Flux & Contemplation - Portrait of an Artist in Isolation (2020), followed by a collaboration with Australian flautist Raja Ram in Improvisations for Piano & Flute (2024).
