Sistar19 is a K-pop duo featuring vocalist Hyolyn and rapper Bora, both of whom initially performed together in the multi-platinum girl group Sistar. Formed in 2011 in Seoul, South Korea, Sistar19 made its debut that spring with "Ma Boy." The single sold nearly 300,000 copies during its first week of release and eventually earned more than 2.5 million downloads, peaking at Number 2 on the GAON Digital Chart. Two years later, Sistar19 returned to the upper reaches of the South Korean charts with "Gone Not Around Any Longer," which hit Number 1 on the GAON Digital Chart, the K-pop Hot 100, and the World Digital Song Sales Chart. The song also served as the title track to the group's debut EP, Gone Not Around Any Longer, which reached Number 2. Created in collaboration with the rapper/producer Brave Brothers, the record also feasted the Top 20 hit song "A Girl in Love," which reached Number 12 on the Billboard K-pop Hot 100. At the Gain Chart Music Awards later that year, "Gone Not Around Any Longer" was named "Song of the Year - February." Meanwhile, Hyolyn and Bora continued earning Number 1 hits as members of Sistar, including nine consecutive chart-topping singles — "러빙유 (Loving U)" and "Shake It" among them — between 2011 and 2017. Sistar broke up after the group's final single, "Lonely," reached Number 1 in June 2017, with Sistar19 also calling it quits. Afterward, Hyolyn continued releasing music as a solo act while Bora focused on her acting career. The duo reformed in January 2024 and released a comeback single, "No More (Ma Boy)," which appeared on multiple charts through Asia.
