Since 1998, guitarist and singer Ben Chasny has been hiding behind the pseudonym Six Organs of Admittance, his experimental contemporary folk project. Also guitarist since 2003 with the psychedelic rock band Comets on Fire, Ben Chasny is also influenced by post-rock and American alternative rock. Six Organs of Admittance builds an original body of work, far removed from the mainstream. Among his albums of varying quality and inspiration, Dust and Chimes (2000), Dark Noontide (2002), Nightly Trembling (2003), School of the Flower (2005), Sun Awakens (2006), Shelter from the Ash (2007), RTZ (2009), Luminous Night (2009), Asleep on the Floodplain (2011) and Ascent (2012) stand out. Six Organs of Admittance has more surprises in store with Hexadic in 2015.
