Slow Joe, a sixty-eight-year-old former Indian junkie discovered by Lyon guitarist Cédric de la Chapelle in 2007, is a strange story. He formed the band The Ginger Accident to accompany Slow Joe's distinctive voice. In 2009, he left India for the first time to perform at the Transmusicales in Rennes. The seven tracks of 2010's Slow Joe Meets The Ginger Accident are the first testimony to a rhythm 'n' blues soul with garage accents. Sunny Side Up in 2011 continues in this resolutely retro vein. Slow Joe and The Ginger Accident have become a major stage attraction, and their 2014 album Lost for Love is a fine example of their evolution.
