SNH48

SNH48 is an influential idol girl group from Shanghai, China, founded in 2012. The ensemble embraces a unique concept, "idols you can meet," and is composed of multiple sub-groups, boasting a collective membership of over 200 young women. SNH48 is not only known for its captivating performances but also for its active involvement in the fashion world, with its own label, Idol's Generation. The group's musical journey began in earnest in 2013, with the debut show Give Me Power! and the release of their first EP, Heavy Rotation. Their initial works were Chinese renditions of popular songs, but by 2017, SNH48 and its sister groups BEJ48 and GNZ48 achieved full originality, self-producing all their songs. Throughout their career, they have released numerous EPs and albums, each one signifying a new milestone in their musical evolution. SNH48’s innovative "General Elections" are pivotal to their structure. Fans vote for their favorite members who then feature centrally in the next EP. These elections and their expansive concerts, such as the fourth Request Time Pre-Concert, have become landmark events in their calendar. Between 2018 and 2020, SNH48 incorporated new members, unveiled the overseas trainee program, and launched JNR48. In 2023, they released Lovely Echo, the group's 33rd EP.
