Canarian singer-songwriter Sofi de la Torre (born on March 16, 1991) coats her pristine pop jams with a slick layer of electronic production that brings a hyper-modern sheen to the table. Brought up in Las Palmas in the Canary Islands – a city on the Spanish island of Gran Canaria – Sofi de la Torre began exploring her passion for songwriting at high school, at first dabbling in folk-rock, encouraged by her music teacher. After leaving school at 18, she briefly moved to Los Angeles for a short stint studying music, before relocating to London to study media and communications. Her first album, Mine, arrived in 2013 but Sofi de la Torre rose to international prominence for her pulsing 2017 single Vermillion, co-written with Jonas W. Karlsson and featured on her Give Up at 2 EP of that same year. In 2017, she released her second full-length album, which yielded the explosive single “Flex Your Way Out” featuring Blackbear. A string of singles followed in its wake, including 2019's Latin pop nugget "Pero No," the rap-tinged "Mentiendes" and the No Soy Nada Sensata EP, both released in 2020. 2021 saw the release of "Y Duele" featuring Pablo Alborán.
