Born on 25 September 1983 in Seoul, South Korea, Son Dam-bi (Korean: 손담비) is a South Korean singer, actor, and entertainer. She kicked off her K-pop career in the mid-2000s and dropped her debut self-titled in 2007, which was produced by Jang Joon-Ho and went to number 31 in South Korea. Type B followed two years later. In 2008, she released the follow-up, Mini Album Vol.1, which was propelled to number 20 in South Korea thanks to “Bad Boy,” a collaboration with singer Kahi. She followed the release with a compilation of remixes, Son Dam Bi Remix Vol.1, that same year. She went on to net a string of further singles, including 2009's "Saturday Night" and 2013's "Red Candle" at the same time as forging a successful career as an actor and amassing numerous awards, including the Digital Bonsang at the 2009 Golden Disk Awards and the Bonsang gong at the Seoul Music Awards for three consecutive years (2009, 2010, 2011). She was also named BBF Popular Singer at the Asia Model Awards in 2011. In 2007, she stepped out as an actor in the Korean drama Dream and has since appeared in a number of films and television shows, including 2019 romantic comedy 동백꽃 필 무렵, 2021 series 손현주의간이역 and 2022 series 호캉스말고스캉스.
