Since her debut with the musical Les Mille et Une Vies d'Ali Baba in 2000, Sonia Lacen has been flirting with success. Having scored her first hit with "Tu me manques depuis longtemps", a duet with Sébastien Lorca, she might have thought her future was bright. But this was not to be, and she had to make do with short-lived collaborations. Her 2006 album Initial was a flop, while 2009'sIlyana was only available as a download. Sonia Lacen relaunched her career in 2012 by taking part in the first season of The Voice. In 2013, she joined the cast of the concept album Thérèse Vivre d'Amour, launched by Natasha St-Pier and Grégoire.
