Since making her debut in 2010 the Japanese singer Sonoko Inoue has enjoyed significant commercial success with a series of chart-topping singles, albums and mini-albums. Sonoko was born in 1997 and was taught to sing by her mother. Her independent debut single 'Sonority' was released in 2010 and went straight to the top of Japan's Oricon chart. After signing to the indie label Tsubasa Records in 2013 more hits followed, the most notable being her label debut 'Sorairo Blue' which brought the artist her second number one single. Impressed by her chart performances, EMI Japan signed the young singer in 2013 whilst she was still only 18 years old. Her major label debut 'Daisuki' released in 2015 brought yet another number one and a year later she followed it up with a number one album titled 'Hello'. In common with many Japanese artists the singer has already began building a parallel TV and film career and she is rapidly becoming one of J-pop's brightest emerging talents.
