Sophia Domancich is a pianist who explores progressive rock, experimental music and contemporary jazz, and has been involved in a wide range of formations since her debut in 1979. Her collaborations with musicians from Soft Machine, Gong and her companion Simon Goubert alternate with albums by the Sophia Domancich Trio from 1992(Funerals) to 1997(La Part des Anges). The Parisian, member of the Orchestre National de Jazz (1997-2000) and voted musician of the year by the Académie du Jazz in 1999, continues to surprise with Pentacle and DAG (2006). 2010 sees the release of Snakes and Ladders, the culmination of three years' work.
