Sophie Tapie

Born on February 20, 1988 in the 12th arrondissement of Paris, Sophie Tapie is the daughter of the famous businessman Bernard Tapie. A father of many hats (politician, sports club president, actor...) who tried his hand at a brief singing career under the pseudonym Bernard Tapy in the 1960s. Sophie Tapie grew up between Paris and Marseille, with horse-riding as her childhood passion. At the age of seventeen, she moved to London to attend an art school. This vocation led her first to the stage, where she played her father's version of Oscar, and then to the cinema, in Alexandre Arcady's film 24 jours. In 2013, she was a contestant on the second season of The Voice, la plus belle voix , and joined Jenifer's team. Sophie Tapie was noticed by a Canadian label, and moved to Montreal to build up a repertoire with local songwriters. She returned in 2015 with an album of French chanson influenced by country and folk. Sauvage is released digitally in France in April 2015 and physically in June.
