Staff Benda Bilili

Comprising mostly paraplegic musicians, the Staff Benda Bilili orchestra blithely mixes Congolese rumba with soul and reggae. The album Très Très Fort caused a surprise in 2009. Now a star of the world music circuit, with over three hundred and fifty concerts to its credit, Staff Benda Bilili released Bouger le Monde in September 2012, an album that is inevitably more accomplished in terms of recording than Très Très Fort.
