Super Junior, a K-pop group hailing from Seoul, South Korea, was formed in 2005 under SM Entertainment. The lineup, which has seen changes over time, includes Leeteuk, Heechul, Yesung, Shindong, Sungmin, Eunhyuk, Siwon, Donghae, Ryeowook and Kyuhyun. Renowned for their eclectic mix of K-pop, dance, electronic, R&B, and synth-pop, Super Junior debuted with their first single, “Twins (Knock Out),” in 2005, followed by their debut album Twins and follow-up albums Don’t Don and Sorry, Sorry, which all charted in the top 20, gaining them a considerable following and leading to tours across Asia. Their 2010 release Bonamana propelled them to the top of the charts, which they quickly followed with Mr. Simple (2011) and Sexy, Free & Single. (2012) This landed them on the world stage, where they secured the third position on the US Billboard's World Albums chart, topping this two years later with Number 1 hit album Mamacita (2014). Gaining enormous momentum globally, the hit records kept coming with Play (2017), and Replay (2018), and the group performed at the closing ceremony of the Asian Games in Jakarta, releasing their first EP titled One More Time, which climbed to number 2. Their 2019 schedule included appearances at venues in South Korea and Singapore, and they unveiled their ninth studio album, Time Slip, in October, which attained platinum certification just two months later. Following on from this, they dropped their second Japanese mini-album, I Think U, on January 29, 2020, which swiftly claimed the top spot on the Oricon daily albums chart. The band marked their 15th anniversary with the release of a Japanese compilation album on January 27, 2021, debuting at number 3. After the success of EPs The Road: Keep on Going (2022) and The Road: Celebration (2022), Super Junior delighted fans with their 11th studio album, simply titled The Road, on January 6, 2023 which featured a compilation of tracks from their previous three albums. It soared to Number 1 in Korea and secured the 7th position on the Billboard Charts in Japan.
