Known to fans as SABAPRO, the Japanese hardcore rock band Survive Said the Prophet consists of five members led by bilingual English/Japanese singer Yosh Morita. The band initially set up as a hardcore/EMO band, but their style has changed since 2011 when they first formed and now encapsulates a more rock-like feel with an energetic stage presence and a hard hitting yet melodious sound. Their first single 'Let Us Party' in 2011 was released at the venue of their first gig, but not elsewhere. This was followed by a self-titled EP in 2012, which was also a limited release. The band toured throughout Japan promoting their music and then spent the next few years preparing songs for their next albums. Their first national release 'Course of Action' in 2015 was followed by full length album 'Fixed' in 2017, 'Wabi Sabi' in 2017 and 'space(s)' in 2018. From 2018, they started releasing singles in quick succession and many of these were taken up by Japanese animé writers as the theme tunes for different shows. These included 'Ne:One/Hi | Lo' (2018), 'Found & Lost' (2018), 'Red' (2018), 'Common Sense' (2019), 'Things Unsaid' (2019), 'Closure' (2019), 'Mukanjyo' (2019) and 'Right and Left' (2019). They have toured worldwide including several performances in the UK and their popularity online increases with every release, scoring them millions of streams for each track.
