Khalif Malik Ibin Shaman Brown, aka Swae Lee, is an American hip-hop performer born in southern California and raised in Tupelo, Mississippi. He began performing while in school and formed the rap duo Rae Sremmurd with his brother Aaquil Ibin Shaman Brown, aka Slim Jxmmi. They have had 16 tracks on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs Chart and three releases on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Chart. His first solo outing was with Mike Will Made It on the 2015 single 'Drinks On Us'. He features on Wiz Khalifa's 'Burn Slow' (2015) which peaked at number 28 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Songs Chart. He features on French Montana's 2017 track 'Unforgettable' which topped the Hot Rap Songs Chart and reached number two on the R&B/Hip-Hop Chart and the UK Singles Chart. He features on Wiz Khalifa's 'Hopeless Romantic' (2018) which peaked at number 25 on Billboard's Rap Chart in 2018, with Maluma on XXXTentacion and Lil Pump's 'Arms Around You' (2018) which hit number two on the R&B Songs Chart and number 14 on the UK Chart and with Ellie Goulding and Diplo on 'Close to Me' (2018) which reached number 17 in the UK. 'The Ways' (2018) with Khalid went to number five on the R&B Chart, he features on Jhene Aiko's 'Sativa' (2018) which reached number six, with Post Malone on 'Spoil My Night' which hit number three and with WizKid on Metro Boomin's 'Borrowed Love' (2018) which peaked at number eight. His 2019 single 'Sunflower' (2019) with Post Malone from 'Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse' went to number one on the Rap and R&B/Hip-Hop charts. Solo album 'Slaecation' came out in 2018 and he set out on tour with Rae Sremmurd in 2019 with appearances at Fortress Festival in Texas, Wireless Festival in England, Dour Festival in Belgium and Openair Frauenfeld in Switzerland.
