Russian house music trio Swanky Tunes was formed in the city of Smolensk in 1998. The lineup eventually coalesced around Vadim Shpak, Dmitry Burykin and Stanislav Zaytsev, and the group has participated in numerous high profile collaborations and appeared at major festivals. Swanky Tunes released its sole studio LP, Streamline, in 2006, which set the stage for the flurry of singles and EPs that would follow. The trio has worked with headliners like Tiësto and Kaskade, and frequently collaborates with fellow Russian EDM trio Hard Rock Sofa. They are a regular fixture on the dance music festival circuit, and performed at festivals in the United States, France, Sweden, Romania, and Spain. In addition to their prolific output of singles, the trio has hosted a weekly radio show and briefly operated its own record label, Showland, a subsidiary of Armin van Buuren’s Armada Music.
