Sweet California are a girl group based in Madrid, Spain known for their vibrant sound. The group, which comprises Rocío Cabrera, Sonia Gómez and Alba Reig came together in the early 2010s and began putting out music on YouTube. Their bright, chart-friendly sound caught the attention of Warner Music Spain and they were swiftly picked up to record their debut album, 'Break of Day'. It was an instant hit, topping the Spanish Albums Chart and leading to follow-up album 'Head for the Stars' in 2015. Their sophomore effort repeated the trick, spending three weeks at the top of the chart. In February 2016 Cabrera parted ways with the group, citing personal reasons. They promptly recruited former backing singer Tamara Nsue and a month later re-released their second album with new material, giving it the title 'Head for the Stars 2.0'. Their third album, the appropriately-titled '3', came in December 2016, earning Sweet California a further number one and their fourth album, Origin, peaked at number two in 2018.
