TMG (Tak Matsumoto Group), centered around B'z guitarist Tak Matsumoto, is a Hard Rock/Heavy Metal band that initially launched in 2004. The members are Tak Matsumoto, Eric Martin, and Jack Blades. The band's name is derived from the initials of "Tak Matsumoto Group." They kick-started their journey with a flurry of releases and activities starting with their first single "OH JAPAN 〜OUR TIME IS NOW〜" released on March 31, 2004. This was followed by their debut album TMG I on June 23, and a promotional tour starting July 30. They also made notable appearances at the SUMMER SONIC 04 festival in August of the same year. After a long hiatus, TMG hinted at a comeback with the release of a new album, their first in 20 years, in February 2024. Official announcements followed in March, and the new tour details and lineup were disclosed in April. On September 18, 2024, TMG released their second album TMG II. The following day, they announced a partnership with the European record label Frontiers Records, launching the album globally in digital and CD formats.
