Tal Farlow is undoubtedly one of the icons of the bebop era, one of a select group of guitarists (Wes Montgomery, Barney Kessel, Joe Pass, Kenny Burrell, Herb Ellis...) who gave the guitar its letters of nobility in a jazz world dominated by blowers. His unique style, personality and perfect technique have made him a major influence on a whole generation of jazz guitarists.
