Technimatic

With their penchant for creating old school, 150 bpm drum & bass, DJs Pete Rogers and Andy Powell soon won plaudits amongst their peer group. They started creating music together in 2007, initially recording under their original DJ names Technicolour and Komatic. In 2009 the duo amalgamated their monikers and released the single Preacher under the name Technimatic on Worldwide Audio. Their trademark sound is a rich, sample-laden driving drum & bass with more than a nodding reference to the genre's early roots. Capitalising on the positive response to Preacher by fans and pundits alike, the duo brought out a succession of singles including a remix of LTJ Bukems' Horizons. It brought them to the attention of Shogun Audio who signed a deal with Technimatic in 2012. Their debut EP titled Intersection was released in 2013 and immediately created a favourable reaction from DJs and radio stations, most notably Ed Keeley on his Radio 1 show. In 2016 the duo released the album Better Perspective featuring Lucy Kitchen on vocals.
