Tee Grizzley is a Detroit-based rapper noted for his hard-hitting lyrics and multi-platinum singles. He was born Terry Sanchez Wallace Jr. on March 23, 1994, and originally performed with the AllStars BallHard crew, where he was known as ASBH Tee. After serving three years in jail for armed robbery, he released the emotive single "First Day Out" under the moniker of Tee Grizzley, having been nicknamed 'Grizzley' in prison. The song became a hit in 2016, earning quadruple-platinum sales and reaching Number 14 on Billboard's Hot Rap Songs chart. His follow-up single, "From the D to the A," featured Lil Yachty and went double-platinum. In 2017, he released the solo mixtape My Moment and collaborated with Chicago rapper Lil Durk on a second mixtape, Bloodas. Tee Grizzley returned to the charts the following year with his debut album, Activated, which climbed to Number 10 on the Billboard 200. Scriptures followed in 2019 and peaked at Number 20, with Built for Whatever arriving in 2021. One year later, he issued the mixtape Half Tee Half Beast, followed by Controversy with Skilla Baby in 2023. The same year was issued his fourth album Tee's Coney Island, featuring guest appearances from 21 Savage, Chris Brown, Machine Gun Kelly, City Girls, and Lil Yachty, Kash Doll, and PnB Rock on the deluxe edition. A new batch of singles prepares for the release of the follow-up album Post Traumatic (2024), this time featuring Future, Mariah the Scientist, J. Cole, Hunxho, Fridayyy, YTB Fatt, 42 Dugg, and his brother Baby Grizzley.
