A forgotten singer in the 1980s, at the crossroads of jazz, soul and folk, Terry Callier enjoyed a late renaissance after a rich but little-recognized career. In 1998, the rediscovery of his immense talent by record companies, and then by critics for Timepeace (1988) and Lifetime (1999), finally brought him some belated justice. Hidden Conversations in 2009 was his last recording, Terry Callier bowing out on October 27, 2012 at the age of sixty-seven.
