The name of the rock band Texas King is misleading because the band aren't American, they're from London, Ontario in Canada and their name is derived from a supersize double bed which is sold in North America. The band consists of frontman Jordan Macdonald on guitar and vocals, drummer Melvin Murray, Phil Spina on bass and guitarist Colin Gray. The four friends met whilst at college in Ontario and formed a band playing in and around the city. The band released an EP which they supported with a series of mini tours, and interest in the band gradually built up until in 2017 they released their critically-acclaimed debut album 'Circles'. The album spawned the lead single 'Boomerang' which was immediately picked up by regional radio in Canada and became a local hit resulting in the band being invited to perform on national TV. After an intensive bout of touring in 2018 the band returned to the studio and in 2019 released their follow-up single titled 'Chandelier'.
