The Brazilian singer Thaeme Mariôto was born in São Paulo on October 4, 1985. She appeared in several Brazilian TV shows as a child, including Eliana's Talent Kids, before winning the second season of Idolos Brazil in 2007. Immediately following her time on the show, Thaeme Mariôto released her debut EP, Ídolos: Thaeme. Her first full-length album, Thaeme Mariôto: Tudo Certo, arrived in late 2007, showcasing her songwriting skills in addition to her powerful voice. She then changed directions by forming the duo Thaeme & Thiago with fellow singer/songwriter José Lazaro Servo, focusing on a mix of country and sertanejo music. The band released Thaeme & Thiago in 2011, Thaeme & Thiago: Ao Vivo em Londrina in 2012, and Perto de Mim in 2013, scoring hits with radio singles like "Ai que dó," "Tcha Tcha Tcha," and "Hoje não." Servo left the band after Perto de Mim's release and was replaced by Guilherme Bertoldo, and the revised version of Thaeme & Thiago remained active throughout the remainder of the decade. After releasing albums like 2014's Novos Tempos, 2016's Ethernize, and 2018's Junto e Misturado, Vol. 1 with the group, Thaeme Mariôto revived her solo career without leaving Thaeme & Thiago's lineup. 2018's "O Melhor de Mim" marked her first solo release in 11 years, while 2019's "Pedacinho Meu" — a moving pop ballad about becoming a mother for the first time — became one of the biggest hits of her career.
