Thalles Roberto

Thalles Roberto, born Thalles Roberto da Silva in Passos, Minas Gerais, on November 8, 1977, is a Brazilian Christian singer-songwriter known for his impactful contributions to contemporary Christian music. Early in his career, he worked as a backing musician for bands like Jota Quest and Jamil e Uma Noites before returning to his Protestant faith and launching his solo career. His 2009 album Na Sala do Pai brought him national recognition with hits such as "Deus da Minha Vida" and "Arde Outra Vez." In 2011, he released the live album Uma História Escrita pelo Dedo de Deus, featuring collaborations with Gabriela Rocha and André Valadão. Thalles Roberto continued to evolve musically, releasing Sejam Cheios do Espírito Santo in 2013, a project that stirred controversy with the song "Filho Meu." He also explored romantic themes in As Canções que Eu Canto pra Ela (2015), dedicated to his wife. After facing backlash in the gospel community for controversial statements, Thalles Roberto shifted his focus to Latin America and joined the Renascer Praise group, where he contributed to albums like Daniel (2015) and Betel (2016). 2020 saw the release of the LP Saudade, Vol. 1, which featured the track "Mesmo Sem Entender," one of his most popular songs. In 2021, he returned to his solo career with the album Luz, followed by Thalles Acústico En Vivo En Colombia (2022), Pentecostes (Ao Vivo) (2022), Adorando Entre Amigos (2023), and Deixa Vir - Vol I & II (2023).
