Straight from small-town America, The All-American Rejects were a counterpoint to the dull existence that could have been in store for Stillwater born and bred high schoolers Tyson Ritter and Nick Wheeler. Formed in 2000, they released their self-titled debut album two years later thrusting the band into the mainstream and delivering a platinum single in the form of Swing, Swing. The single attracted the attention of record label Interscope, who signed them up. The duo became a quartet when Mike Kennerty and Chris Gaylor joined for the band's second album, Move Along; which was released in 2005, went double platinum and produced three hit singles, It Ends Tonight, Dirty Little Secret and Move Along. With the release of third album When The World Comes Down in 2008, the band saw success beyond the shores of their home country with single Gives You Hell hitting the top 20 in the UK and charting high in Australia.
