When an adventurous keyboardist (Greg Kurstin) meets a Shakespearean singer and actress (Inara George), they decide to form The Bird and the Bee, a duo that elegantly forages hushed ambiences between electronica, jazz and bossa nova. Known for the track "Again & Again", taken from their bossa nova-influenced debut album(The Bird and the Bee, 2007), they returned in early 2009 with the light-hearted vignettes of Ray Guns Are Not Just the Future. The following year, The Bird and the Bee devoted an album to the repertoire of another duo: Hall & Oates. In 2015, Greg Kurstin reunited with his vocal partner for their fourth album together, Recreational Love.
