The Brian Jonestown Massacre

Formed in San Francisco (California) in 1990, The Brian Jonestown Massacre struggled to stabilize a line-up of over forty musicians. The Brian Jonestown Massacre released their debut album Methodrone in 1995. 1998's Strung Out in Heaven was one of the successes of their career, but the most improbable came in 2009, when their mini-album Smoking Acid EP hit the best-selling singles charts in France. As talented and offbeat as ever, The Brian Jonestown Massacre released Who Killed Sgt. Pepper? in February 2010. The inspiration of Anton Newcombe and his comrades is far from drying up in 2012 with Aufheben . More accessible than its direct predecessors, Revelation is released in May 2014. A year later, the band released an experimental album inspired by the French New Wave, Musique de Film Imaginé, followed by the EP, Thingy Wingy, on which Anton Newcombe collaborated with Vladimir Nosal, Tess Parks and Alex Maas. More conventional, the following album, Third World Pyramid, was recorded in 2016 at Anton Newcombe's Berlin studios, as was the follow-up, Don't Get Lost, released in February 2017.
