The Cardigans

The Cardigans are a pop band from Sweden, represented by their charismatic singer, Nina Persson, with her childlike voice and femme fatale looks. Their string of hits in the second half of the 1990s ("Lovefool" in 1996, "My Favourite Game " in 1998, "Erase/Rewind " in 1999) have undeniably made them popular, but have sometimes overshadowed the fact that these five musicians have always sought to infuse each album with a singular identity, constantly renewing themselves over fifteen years, moving from sweet, light pop to melancholy electro-pop, revisiting rock but also folk. For proof of this, this group, which has the elegance to be popular without being devoid of audacity, released a compilation of all its hits in 2008.
