There are probably very few young, career-minded English musicians who deliberately choose to play ska: a genre too outdated at the start of the millennium, and therefore unmarketable, at least on the face of it? However, the Liverpudlian post-punks of the Dead 60's took up the challenge and succeeded with a successful debut, The Dead 60s in 2005. The band broke up in 2008.
