Formed in 2001 by multi-instrumentalist brothers Alex and Thomas White, The Electric Soft Parade made a name for themselves with their Mercury Prize-nominated debut album Holes in the Wall . The band, heirs to a long line of English pop artists from The Kinks to The Smiths, have gone on to win regular acclaim with subsequent albums The American Adventure (2003), No Need to Be Downhearted (2007) and IDIOTS (2013).
