Since the early nineties, The Flower Kings have played a major role in the progressive rock revival. Strongly influenced by the genre's monsters without being a pale copy of them, the Swedish band has been around since 1994, debuting in 1995 with Back in the World of Adventures. Praised for their style, The Flower Kings quickly developed a large fan base comparable to that of Spock's Beard. Retropolis (1996), Stardust We Are (1997), Space Revolver (2000) and Meet the Flower Kings (2003) did much to raise the band's profile. Always ambitious and keen to produce timeless music, The Flower Kings released Banks of Eden in 2012, recorded in the studio under live conditions.
