This punk, glam and goth rock quartet was born in 1981. The group is made up of former members of punk bands, and has made a name for itself on stage with their dantesque shows. Led by Stiv Bators (ex-Dead Boys), surrounded by Brian James (ex-The Damned), Dave Tregunna (ex-Sham 69) and Nicky Turner (ex-Barracudas), the Lords of the New Church split up in 1989, after three albums and a decade of religious symbolism, which sometimes earned them the label of Satanic rockers.
