Brothers Chris and Rich Robinson led 1990s southern rock throwbacks The Black Crowes on a wild adventure of hit albums and massive live shows. However, after a volatile relationship in the band, the siblings parted ways in 2015 with Rich going on to form The Magpie Salute with Marc Ford on guitar, Sven Pipien on bass, Matt Slocum on keyboards, Joe Magistro on drums, John Hogg on guitar and percussion and Nico Bereciartua on guitar. They played their first shows in Woodstock, New York and naturally kicked out retro rock jams that served soaring crescendos. Their self-titled debut live album was released in 2017 and was a typical celebration of their love of '60s and '70s rock & roll. They followed this with their debut studio album 'High Water I' in 2018. The band's second studio album, 'High Water II', was released in October 2019.
