The Posies are one of the jewels in the crown of American power pop in the 1990s. Immortalized by their college rock hit "Dream All Day " in 1993, the Seattle band, fronted from the start by Jon Auer (vocals, guitar) and Ken Stringfellow (guitar, keyboards, vocals), went on to release a string of landmark albums in American alternative rock, including Amazing Disgrace in 1996 and Success in 1998. After several breaks, The Posies were reborn in the 2000s, with 2005's Every Kind of Light and 2010's Blood/Candy. Six years later, the album Solid States, produced by Tony Hoffer, sees keyboards take precedence over guitars.
