Hailing from Denmark, The Raveonettes are the craftsmen of a polished rock that borrows as much from 1960s pop as from 1990s American indie rock. Led by the charismatic singer Sharin Foo and the tenebrous Sune Rose Wagner, in 2003 The Raveonettes signed the album that made them famous, Chain Gang of Love. The band returned in 2005 with Pretty in Black, then at the end of 2007 with Lust Lust Lust. In and Out of Control in 2009 and Raven in the Grave in 2010 precede the sixth album, Observator, released in 2012. In 2014, the seventh album Pe'ahi blends surf music and sophisticated arrangements.
