Led by former Pretty Little Demons frontwoman Lydia Night, The Regrettes are an American pop/punk act whose songs are often anchored by politically-tinged lyrics about feminism and female empowerment. Prior to forming the band in 2015 in Los Angeles, California, singer Lydia Night, guitarist Genessa Gariano, bassist Sage Chavis, and drummer Maxx Morando all met while attending after-school music lessons as a teenagers. Hey!, The Regrettes' debut EP, was released that same year and earned the band a record deal with Warner Bros. Records. The full-length album Feel Your Feelings Fool! appeared in 2017 and marked the band's major-label debut, with critics comparing the band's music to iconic punk acts like Bikini Kill as well as classic girl groups like the Ronnettes. The five-song EP Attention Seeker followed in 2018, featuring a cover of the oldies hit "A Teenager in Love," with the sophomore album How Do You Love? arriving in 2019. Like Feeling Your Feelings Fool!, How Do You Love? was produced by Dr. Dre's protégé, Mike Elizondo, and showed with critical acclaim. The Regrettes continued releasing stand-alone singles in the album's wake, including 2020's "I Love Us" and 2021's "Monday."
