Featuring layered vocal harmonies and pop/rock instrumentation, The Rescues are an American trio from Los Angeles, California. The group was formed in 2008 by Adrianne Gonzalez, Kyler England, and Gabriel Mann, three successful singer/songwriters who, during the years before the band's launch, had individually won awards from the USA Songwriting Competition. Deemed an indie supergroup by the band's songwriting peers in Los Angeles, The Rescues debuted with the single "Your Love" in 2008, followed by the full-length album Crazy Ever After later that year. Another pair of releases followed in 2010, with the group released a self-titled EP, The Rescues, and a sophomore record, Let Loose the Horses. Blah Blah Love and War followed in 2013, with the band returned in 2017 to release an eponymous album, The Rescues. Another the band lapsed into inactivity following The Rescues' release, the group's 12 year-old version of Katy Perry's pop hit "Teenage Dream" — originally released by Perry in August 2010, with The Rescues' harmony-heavy cover arriving that October — became a viral success in 2022, with the song subsequently charting in Singapore, Brazil, India, and Uruguay.
